I love lists. Perhaps it’s because they’re so organized and easy to read.

This is a little site of lovely little lists – especially books.

Books

Books with paper are such an amazing delight. There’s something very special about having a book with beautiful paper, pages to turn one by one.

Call me crazy, but some new books have the most fresh, delightful and lovely smell. The odor can remind me of Christmas, or the promise of great things to come.

Book covers are works of art. They become a reminder of lovely fond memories collected while reading the pages within. Just a glimpse of the binder sitting on the shelf can elicit a fond flicker of a smile as one goes about their day.

That is the magic and wonder of old fashioned books on a shelf.

I’ve often thought that a home isn’t really a home unless it has well loved volumes covering almost every wall. What else are walls for, other than to hang lovely art work? Better yet of course, no walls at all but rather huge windows to the glorious outdoors… light streaming in… on a favorite volume no doubt, warm beverage in hand.

Electronic Readers

Now electronic readers are very handy devices indeed, convenient, stuffable and compact. But knowing that I never have to concern myself with batteries with regular books is such a plus.

What happens if I drop it? Or misplace it? I will have lost my library. Perhaps I will have time to redownload… if I’m allowed…

Right now, electronic readers have no color. When they do, it will definitely be an incentive to buy. But, the batteries required to power a beautiful screen would be innumerable and quite an expense.

Someday, if the electricity goes out, even for a bit, and all we have is the light of day, there will always be a regular book available right off the shelf to transport and perhaps comfort us.

About Best Sellers

People as a group have a tendency to choose most interestingly when it comes to putting their money where their heart is.

Invariably, best selling books are interesting and a great read. Infrequently, great books are missed. I would like to share those with you as time goes by.

But all in all, best sellers are a true method of finding treasures, quickly and easily.

Of course there’s no guarantee you will love what everyone else loves, but it sure improves the odds! : )
